Area and Population

The municipality of Peja is located in western Kosovo. It covers an area of approximately 603 km² and includes Peja town and 79 villages.

According to the Kosovo Population and Housing Census 2020, the total population is 98,601.

Governing Structures and Political Overview

The total number of voters in Peja municipality registered for the last municipal elections held in October 2021 was 109,051 including out of Kosovo voters.

The voter turnout was 36.5 percent/39,814 voters (source: Central Election Commission).
