Area and Population

The municipality of Shterpce is located in southeastern Kosovo. It covers an area of approximately 247 km² and includes Shterpce town and 16 villages.

According to the Kosovo Population and Housing Census 2020, the total population is 6.621. 

Governing Structures and Political Overview

The total number of voters in Shterpce municipality registered for the last municipal elections held in October 2021 was 12,410 including out of Kosovo voters.

The voter turnout was 57,7 percent/7,155 voters (source: Central Election Commission)

The current composition of the  Municipal Assembly is as follows:
