KLGI Institute, through social auditing, will contribute to the direct involvement of citizens in the evaluation of the impact of projects in municipalities. Coordinators and social audit groups have already been selected in nine municipalities (South Mitrovica, Obiliq, Lipjan, Graçanica, Gjilan, Shterpca, Rahovec, Peja, and Dragash).

Social auditing aims to promote accountability and transparency, increase citizen participation, enhance the services provided by municipalities, and monitor and strengthen best governance practices at the local level.

The social auditing project is being developed with the support of the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA), while in each of the involved municipalities, two projects will be monitored.
