🏛️The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI), with its local partner, the organisation Nevo Kocepti, within the “Property Rights Initiative” (PRI) project, held a workshop in the Municipality of Prizren to discuss the implementation of the legal framework on property rights. Participants included officials from the Directorate for Urbanism and Spatial Planning 🏙️, the Directorate for Geodesy and Cadastre 🗺️, the Directorate for Culture, Youth and Sport 🎭, the Office for Gender Equality ⚖️ and members of the Communities Committee 👥.
The aim of the workshop was to identify legal gaps and shortcomings relating to property issues, in order to facilitate the implementation of the legislation in force. ⚖️ The discussion focused on raising awareness and promoting an open dialogue between different actors on problems relating to property and the relevant legal procedures. 💬
Discussing these issues 🗣️ is essential to facilitate the implementation of the legislation in force and to enable citizens to have better legal protection of their property rights. 🏠 Identifying legal gaps is an important step towards increasing the efficiency of the responsible institutions and the security of property for citizens. 🔍
The project is implemented by ATRC, co-implemented by KLGI and funded by the World Bank/State and Peacebuilding Fund.
