The Executive Director of the Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI), Mr Besnik Muçaj, met the programme manager at the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA), Zorana Gaic, together with the coordinator for Kosovo, Mr Visar Xani; she is staying in Kosovo for a new mission in the field of Public Administration.

Starting from local democracy and moving on to sectoral services, after a general overview of the functioning of local governance in Kosovo, Mr Muçaj presented the work the KLGI Institute does through its advanced training programmes in the field of Public Administration at the local level.

There was common agreement to initiate cooperation in this field, starting in October with discussions on the regional analysis of service delivery carried out by ReSPA. Furthermore, from next year ReSPA will provide the KLGI Institute with professional expertise through trainers in specific fields.

Beyond this, in the field of integrated service delivery, ReSPA and KLGI aim to organise study visits in the region and beyond. This is an important step for the KLGI Institute to gain advanced knowledge through ReSPA's professional experience, while also following advanced regional and European models.
