At the offices of the KLGI Institute we received representatives of the Centres for Social Work (CSWs), with whom we discussed cooperation in identifying challenges in the field of social services at the local level.
The meeting addressed a series of issues that require the involvement of the CSWs, ranging from the sustainable development of social policies at the local level and enhanced support for professional staff to the improvement of legislation in the process of amending the draft law on social and family services.
It is evident that the European Commission's country report, performance reports and other credible reports by international and domestic organisations point to major challenges in meeting standards in the provision of social services at the local level.
For this reason, the KLGI Institute, together with its partners, aims to provide analyses and recommendations for central and local institutions through workshops with the direct involvement of the CSWs. This process is directly linked to the processes that affect the sustainable financing of social services, as well as to the improvement of policies in this field.
