The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI), within the Civic Engagement Programme implemented by the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Kosovo, is carrying out a series of activities aimed at involving civil society organisations (CSOs) in monitoring transparency and public consultation in municipalities.

In this regard, KLGI invites all interested CSOs/activists to apply to monitor the implementation of the Administrative Instruction on Open Administration in the Municipality (No. 04/2023). The selection process will involve two steps:

Step I: 15 CSOs/activists will be selected for a three-day training/workshop (first session: a one-day training on the legal basis and the form of organisation and functioning of local government); (second session: one day of training combined with a workshop on monitoring public funding and one day on monitoring public consultation).

Step II: 5 to 8 CSOs/activists will be selected from the training to monitor the municipalities, divided into 8 regions.

Who can apply and what are the application criteria?

Eligible to apply are:

  • All non-governmental organisations registered in Kosovo, and activists or informal groups who can demonstrate their activity;
