The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI), together with the Ministry of Regional Development (MRD), organised a meeting to present the final draft of the “Analysis of Line Ministries' Capital Investments at the Local and Regional Levels in 2018”.
The meeting presented the content of the Draft Analysis of line ministries' capital investments at the local/regional level for 2018 and the list of capital projects funded by line ministries in municipalities.
In order to promote balanced regional development, this document reflects the distribution of line ministries' capital investments across the five development regions: Centre, East, North, West and South.
Line ministries' capital investments at the local and regional levels are examined in order to reflect balanced investment by the central level at the local and regional levels. Above all, this aims to promote balanced regional development by including all municipalities and development regions in central-level capital investments.
The forecasting of capital investments aims to identify the real resources that will affect the implementation of specific projects. Taking into account all the factors that affect the implementation of investments determines the quality of their forecasting.
The representatives of the municipalities taking part in the meeting presented their comments on the draft presented by the MRD, and on the number and accuracy of the names of the projects for which they received funding from line ministries in 2018. They also contributed to finalising the draft by proposing other issues related to the planning and implementation of projects at both the central and local levels.
This activity is being carried out within the project ‘Support for Stronger and More Sustainable Municipalities (SSSM)’, funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo.
