The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) organised a workshop on digitalisation and innovation practices and processes in municipalities. Participants in the workshop were the Directors of Public Administration in municipalities. The workshop aimed to analyse/address digitalisation and innovation practices and processes in municipalities.
Digitalisation and innovation are the key to a modern and European public administration, with the aim of providing faster, easier and higher-quality services to citizens and businesses.
It was stressed that the municipality, that is, local government, is the first place where citizens experience their connection with institutions, so municipalities must function in a way that provides the best possible services that people need. Above all, digital transformation and innovation are the main factors affecting the improvement and proper functioning of public administration.
The KLGI Institute is dedicated to analyses and studies that contribute to effective local governance practices in Kosovo. Through its educational programmes, it also works on building the capacities of the country’s municipalities.
The activity was carried out within the framework of the programme ‘Dialogue for European Municipalities’ (DEM), supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo.
