Dr Nazia Mintz-Habib has been invited by the Auditor General to deliver a keynote speech on the role of civil society organisations in audit functions. She is visiting Kosovo. As one of the civil society organisations in Kosovo, Mr Tahiri invited Dr Habib to the offices of the KLGI Institute to discuss various projects and their role further.

At this meeting, Ms Mintz-Habib was informed by Director Tahiri about the engagements and work of the KLGI Institute in the field of local governance, with emphasis on the programmes it offers in capacity building and in supporting the strengthening of municipal sustainability.

Ms Mintz-Habib informed Mr Tahiri about the research programme on resilience and sustainable development, as well as about areas for future research. This was mainly an introductory meeting, but they agreed to deepen communication and explore opportunities for cooperation in advanced programmes.

Finally, as a token of respect, Mr Tahiri presented Ms Mintz-Habib with the symbol of the Goddess on the Throne.
