๐ŸŒ The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI), in cooperation with the Decentralisation and Municipal Support Project (DEMOS), organised a discussion on strategic planning, project development and contract management in municipalities ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. The meeting served as a platform to address the existing shortcomings ๐Ÿ“ˆ in local resource management processes.

๐Ÿ’ผ During the discussion with municipal directors of finance, economic development, urban planning and property, as well as chief financial officers, important challenges were identified and concrete proposals for improvement were put forward. The main aim was to assess the current situation and draw conclusions and recommendations for action. ๐Ÿ“

๐Ÿ“Š Strategic planning, project development and contract management in the municipality aim to improve the management and development of local resources. The objectives include creating a clear framework for planning, identifying and implementing projects ๐Ÿ—๏ธ that bring benefits to communities, as well as efficient and transparent contract management.

๐Ÿค In addition, it is essential to encourage citizen participation in decision-making processes, to build partnerships with the private sector and non-governmental organisations, ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ and to implement strong mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating projects. This integrated approach will help municipalities achieve their sustainable development goals. ๐ŸŒฑ

๐ŸŒŸ The activity was carried out with support from the DEMOS project, co-funded by the European Union, Switzerland and Sweden, and implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Kosovo.
