The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) is contributing to a two-day workshop (Monday – Tuesday) on using the Electronic System and the Performance Regulation, and on discussing the indicators to be assessed in reporting on performance for 2020.

To prepare for this process, the Ministry of Local Government (MLG) and SDC-DEMOS have divided the workshop into two strands: performance officers, who are working on technical reporting in the municipal performance report; and, separately, the working group, which is working on drafting the concept document for measuring municipal performance.

Measuring and assessing municipal performance, as a process, requires strict application of predetermined rules, guidelines, standards and deadlines. Above all, it is a process based on verified data on the services provided by the various sectors of the municipal administration.

The meeting will continue tomorrow, when both groups will discuss the municipal performance system.

This discussion is supported within the framework of the professional support the KLGI Institute is providing to institutions in capacity building and the drafting of policies and legislation in the field of local governance.

This activity was carried out within the project ‘Support for Stronger and Sustainable Municipalities (SSSM)’, funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo.
