KLGI supports the drafting of the Law on Regional Development

The Executive Director of the Kosovo Local Government Institute, Valmir Gashi, met the Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Agon Dobruna, to discuss support for drafting the Law on Regional Development.

The meeting highlighted the importance of this law for eliminating the challenges, problems and setbacks in the field of regional development, which are to be addressed in the document with the aim of approximating the EU’s regional development policies.

The KLGI Institute will support the Ministry of Regional Development through the programme “Dialogue for European Municipalities – DEM”, funded by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, contributing professional expertise and technical support to the process of drafting the Law on Regional Development.

The KLGI Institute serves as a platform for more structured communication in capacity building and the drafting of policies and legislation. KLGI is also dedicated to analyses and studies that contribute to effective local governance practices in Kosovo.
