At the meeting of the professional working group for implementing the Strategy for Local Self-Government 2016 – 2026, organised by the Ministry of Local Government Administration in cooperation with the OSCE, representatives of the KLGI Institute contributed to the analysis of the implementation of this strategy and to the work plan for 2019.
The KLGI Institute welcomed the progress made in implementing this strategy, in particular the actions taken during 2018, whether in advancing legislation or in central institutions' support for municipalities. At the same time, the KLGI Institute presented its professional commitments and the interventions undertaken towards implementing this strategy, and invited all stakeholders, including development partners, to maintain and strengthen a focus based on the strategy's objectives.
The KLGI Institute remains committed, as part of the professional working group, to focusing on the most efficient possible implementation of the strategy, while analysing updated information on implementation and shortcomings on the basis of credible domestic and international reports.
