The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) and the OSCE, in support of the Ministry of Local Government Administration (MLGA), organised a two-day workshop on Inter-Municipal Cooperation – Opportunities for public-private partnership through IMC. The aim of the workshop was to discuss and address the challenges and efforts to promote and strengthen inter-municipal cooperation in the service of good governance and local economic development.
Divided into groups, the participants simulated processes and thematic examples of IMC for reaching public-private partnership agreements for the provision of public services, as well as the challenges and proposals for the future in this field.
Inter-municipal cooperation is the practice of two or more municipalities working together for purposes of public interest, for the benefit of citizens and of the municipalities entering into a cooperative relationship.
The KLGI Institute is providing support through its programme of capacity building and exchange of regional experiences.
The activity was carried out within the programme “Dialogue for European Municipalities (DEM)”, supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo.
