KLGI Director met the Executive Secretary of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA)

The Executive Director of the Kosovo Local Government Institute, Mr Besnik Tahiri, met the Executive Secretary of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) – a specialised body of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), with offices in Brussels – Mr Bardhyl Dobra, at the premises of the KLGI Institute.

The meeting discussed the functioning of public administration in Kosovo, the government’s efforts towards more sustainable development and capacity building at the local level, as well as the KLGI Institute’s educational programmes. On this occasion, Mr Dobra was informed about the advanced training programmes for municipalities that target local government officials, line ministries, civil society actors and the media.

Furthermore, Mr Tahiri and Mr Dobra agreed on a joint study in the field of administration and the country’s development, as well as on opportunities for future cooperation.
