The Kosovo Local Government Institute (KLGI) has begun work with the sixth generation of the LGA VI educational programme. This event is taking place in the Republic of Albania from 24 to 26 November 2016.

Module One (I) – in separate sessions – covers the topic of Democratisation and Decentralisation (the decentralised system of governance; international principles, concepts and practices; state-building in relation to decentralisation – the case of the Western Balkans; relations between central and local government).

The module also includes a study visit to the Ministry of Innovation and Public Administration. The purpose of this meeting is to learn about this ministry’s efforts in building the capacities of the public administration, integrated public services through the ADISA agency, and innovation in administration.

LGA is an advanced training programme targeting local government officials, line ministries and civil society actors. Through its training modules, LGA serves as a platform for professional education, as well as for learning through the exchange of experience among participants and lecturers and through study visits.

This programme is supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo.
