Second meeting to analyse and discuss the details of two projects in Viti

The Social Audit Group 👥️ in the Municipality of Viti, in coordination with its local partner, the organisation Initiative for Development – Anamorava, organised its second meeting to analyse and discuss the details of two projects funded by the Municipal Performance Grant: i. Continuation of works on the square in the centre (from the Post Office building to the House of Culture and “28 Nëntori” street). 🏙️ ii. Rehabilitation of the road and pavement with cobblestones along the Morava river. 🌊

The Social Audit Group analysed 🔍 the contracts, drawings and relevant documents, assessing their compliance with the established standards and the needs of the community. They also discussed the importance of transparency in the management of public projects and of citizen engagement in the oversight process. 🤝

They stressed that these projects aim to improve local infrastructure. The works on the square should therefore aim to transform the surrounding area, making it more accessible and attractive for citizens. ✨

Likewise, the rehabilitation of the road and pavement with cobblestones along the Morava river should provide a safer environment and ease traffic flow, increasing safety for pedestrians 🚶‍♂️and contributing to the development of tourism in that area. 🌳

The group will continue with the next phase, a field visit to assess the progress of the projects and ensure that the works are completed within the set deadlines. This will help identify potential challenges and provide recommendations for improvement. ✅
