Continuing their visits to municipalities, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Kosovo, Mr Jens Erik Grondahl, together with the Executive Director of the Kosovo Local Government Institute, Mr Valmir Gashi, visited the Municipality of Partesh, where they were received by the mayor, Mr Dragan Petković.
During the meeting, Mayor Petković informed them about the achievements, challenges and projects under way, as well as the work ahead for the municipality. Mayor Petković thanked Ambassador Grondahl for the continuous support the Royal Norwegian Embassy is giving municipalities through advanced training programmes, mentoring in capacity building and technical assistance.
By building mechanisms for more efficient functioning of the municipality, they will promote internal democracy and coordination with local actors, adopting advanced practices of inter-municipal cooperation as a shared opportunity for integration. Mayor Petković also once again expressed his thanks for the opportunity the KLGI Institute has given the Municipality of Partesh to take part in the advanced trainings, in support of building the municipality’s capacities.
The activity was carried out within the framework of the programme ‘Dialogue for European Municipalities’ (DEM), supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kosovo.
