Municipal profile
Area and population
The municipality of Istog is located in northwestern Kosovo. It covers an area of approximately 454 km² and includes Istog town and 50 villages.
According to the Kosovo Population and Housing Census 2020, the total population is 41.181.
Governing structures and political overview
The total number of voters in Istog municipality registered for the last municipal elections held in October 2021 was 47,693 including out of Kosovo voters.
The voter turnout was 41,9% percent/19,986 voters (source: Central Election Commission).
