Municipal profile
Kaçanik
Area and population
The municipality of Kacanik is located in southeastern Kosovo. It covers an area of approximately 210 km² and includes Kacanik town and 31 villages.
According to the Kosovo Population and Housing Census 2020, the total population is 34.672.
Governing structures and political overview
The total number of voters in Kacanik municipality registered for the last municipal elections held in October 2021 was 32,647 including out of Kosovo voters.
The voter turnout was 49,8 percent/16,245 voters (source: Central Election Commission).
