Municipal profile

Area and population

The municipality of Prizren is located in south-eastern Kosovo. It covers an area of approximately 284.2 km² and includes Prizren town and 76 villages.

According to the Kosovo Population and Housing Census 2020, the total population is 194.581.

Governing structures and political overview

The total number of voters in Prizren municipality registered for the last municipal elections held in October 2021 was 173,359 including out of Kosovo voters.

The voter turnout was 35,8 percent/62,112 voters (source: Central Election Commission).
