Municipal profile
Area and population
The municipality of Prishtina is located in central Kosovo. It covers an area of approximately 572 km² and includes Prishtina town and 43 villages.
According to the Kosovo Population and Housing Census 2020, the total population is 218.782.
Governing structures and political overview
The total number of voters in Prishtina municipality registered for the last municipal elections held in October 2021 was 195,978 including out of Kosovo voters.
The voter turnout was 45,0 percent/88,115 voters (source: Central Election Commission).
